Hi, I’m having a problem with my trim on a 2016 150 Mercury four stroke. It’s been acting up for awhile intermittently couldn’t raise the motor occasionally etc. Replaced trim motor then it would only go down but could not raise it. Replaced sensor next- didn’t help. If I remove the sensor from the motor the trim will run up & down but with it bolted on only trims down. Tried running on the lake with sensor zip tied up out of the way but then the motor seems to go into limp mode only runs 2800 ish rpm. Replaced the pin at the top of trim cylinder; thought maybe the magnet in it was messed up but no luck there either.
What should I try next? Does anything need be reprogrammed after changing out the sensor??
