2014 Yamaha 50hp knocking

After running for an hour or so (various speeds), my 50 Yam will choke bringing it up onto plane from idle speed... as if running out of fuel.. pump the bulb and it comes back up but will miss a few times once up on plane... 3300 rpms. Bring it back to idle and it’s knocking. Knock seems to be coming from fwd section of motor... no sign of it running hot, no alarms ... water coming out of pee hole strong and cool... oil pump?

I'm a newbie to all of this and to a Yamaha F40LA. I saw your question. I don't have a answer for you sadly. Thought you can answer one for me. Picked this F40LA up this past fall ran it and winterized it. Pulled it out of storage to get it ready for this spring. It will not pump water. Watched a million U tube videos on how to change the water pump. In all the service paperwork I have from the original owner nothing on a water pump replacement. When I removed the water pump housing the propeller stayed in the housing cup. The thing that troubled me it looks like it is a counter clockwise rotation. Is that possible??? I'm standing behind the prop facing motor you would think it wound have a clockwise rotation. All the U tubes seem that way. Can you help a newbie out??? I could use some help at the moment.

do you know how impeler instal?
grease drive shaft , this place where impeler should be,
instal impeler key int drive shaft
slide dowm impeler and fit into key
slide down impeler housing and hold it in one hand and the secend hend turn drive shaft in clockwise direction
an in the same time slide dowm water pump housing
impeler will line in the righ direction just by itself
