2012 Bayliner.. Docked my boat for 24hrs and came back my engine and boat filled with water!! Whyy, please help.

We docked our boat for 24hrs as we were planning on going out to watch the fire works and when we came back we discussed our boat filled with water. The dock manger stated the waves could have crashed and gotten water in the boat. I personally don’t think that was it.. Drain plug was for sure in. I left my trim up. Could this have caused it??

what is the condition of your bellows? if they were leaking, all bets are off
could have been a wave
could be bad plastic thru-hull fittings
could be damage to the boat hull itself

is this fresh water or salt water?

either way, we cant see your boat. however in the mean time get the boat out of the water, get the motor running, pull the drive and service it and call your insurance company. things like your electrical system, steering cables, etc. will soon fail
