Just dropped in to ask Paul, Guru, and/or others about trim switch options. Watching Swamp People now, with Junior running that tiller 115Yam, reminded me of this. My boat is similar to their skiffs.

I posted last year about possibly installing a 2nd momentary trim switch near my right hand and the gunnel where I sit.
I've procrastinated on that, but ready to proceed now.

BUT before I do, just to be sure, are there any other solutions out there to have a trim switch under my thumb on the end of the tiller handle like many other larger tiller motors? I would much prefer that as first option.

I sure am enjoying this motor. I had a small prob at first with primer bulb going soft using portable tanks, once I moved motor to my new boat with built in tank and new hoses, bulb, etc., that went away, and not one hiccup since, runs flawlessly.

Thx much.

i have a 30hp efi with the pt/t switch on a cable/wire. rubber booted and with a shroud/sleeve on the wires. i have it velcroed between my legs where i sit. i could wrap it on the tiller handle, but the switch is substantial and just would not fit right. good luck

The MD50B2 has a TT switch capability in the on-tiller switch box... where the main key switch and stop switch are located. You can parallel another switch any place you like.

I'll ask some of the engineers tomorrow if they have anything in the works, but I doubt that anything will have changed. There are some mods in the works on some models, but nothing that's earth shattering.

Nothing is changing about the switch placement.
