2011 225hp etec HO dripping oil????

My 2012 ranger which has the etec 225 HO motor is dripping oil when Its parked in the garage. It drips about 3 to4 drops a day. It drips 2 stroke oil. It does not matter if the motor is vertical or if I have it tilted. Is this something serious that needs to be addressed at a shop asap? I only run the evinrude xd100 oil and and the motor only has 28 hours on it. Any Ideas what might be the problem or is it a shop fix. My ranger dealer is 3 hours away and I am hoping for some easy fix that I can check myself. Any ideas would really help.

It is probably just un-burned oil ......... a very typical 2 stroke sign.

That's a great motor and I would probably spend 5 minutes on the phone with the dealer and explain the 3 hr ride

Since it is under a strong warranty I would not get upset........ as I mentioned first.... probably un-burned oik and could be common with the motor.

From where does the oil drip? Is it new amber colored oil or a black residue?

Your motor uses more oil during the first few hours of its life and if you do a lot of stop and go and/or low speed running, especially before putting it on the trailer, oil can buildup in the intake area and drip.

The oil is amber in color, looks like the xd100 oil. The air intake silencer also had oil inside. The oil appears to be coming from the air intakes.

It's amber. Did you spill your beer ???
Thinking it is just unburned oil but it being a 2011 I would check with the dealership.
