The wife and I went to the Milwaukee air show on the lake front again this year. We launched our boat in Port Washington on Saturday and ran down Lake Michigan to Milwaukee. Stayed overnight at McKinnley Marina after the Saturday show was canceled. Then ran back up the lake on Sunday after the show.
It's hard to beat the view of an air show from the water.
Saturday was pretty much a bust. Low clouds and fog caused the air show to be canceled. We did have a really good pizza for dinner at Zaffiro's Pizza & Bar but that was pretty much the high point of the day.
Sunday, the weather was much better. The sun actually broke through for most of the day and it warmed up nicely.
On to the pics. More are available in my Facebook Galleries.
Part 1 & Part 2
One from Saturday. Low clouds, fog. That's it.
Sunday. still a little hazy but we could at least see the tops of the buildings.
We got a close up view of the big Carver that the CG Aux was using. They turned off, but I was getting this "You scratched my anchor." vibe.
A big C-17 Globemaster to open the show.
Some very nice little boats out for the show.
The Lima Lima Flight Team.
