Re: 200HP Merc - Hard To Start -- WHY

The motor runs like a champ after I get it started, and starts in seconds after I shut it off...I have new plugs & strong 750 CCA batteries...I think its a choking issue...the gas it Super Chevron I mix the oil in a measured devise....the motor is a 1983 with a jet pump on lower unit. Please anyone give me advise......

IF IT RUN AS YOU SAY. DO YOU DO NOT HOLD THE CHOKE
DOWN UNTIL IT FIRES. SOME POEPLE THINK IT
LIKE A CAR THAT NOT RIGHT HOLD THE
CHOKE DOWN. MAKE SURE THE PUMP IS FULL
AND SEE WHAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU PUT IT ON
THE WATER
REX
I THINK IT WELL FIRE THE FIRST TIME. ;) :D
