Have been boat free for a few years and am ready to purchase a boat again.

Went an looked at the Whalers this weekend. They had a 09 130ss in the water and I was really impressed. The ride was alot beter than I thought it would be.

Ended up putting a REFUNDABLE deposit down on a 09 150ss. (I like the 13' but wanted a bit more room)

Question is: besides price, can anyone tell me why I should not purchase the boat? One concern I have is, if the new design doesn't sit well with people, it might affect my resell value.

I like the simplicity of the sports, and would use the boat mostly for cruising around coastal waters, and occasionally fishing.

Re: 2009 Whaler 150 SS

Hi, I had a 2007 150SS and loved it. Not sure what coastal water you are taking it out in but it certainly is not meant for very choppy water. One thing to consider is that you can purchase a larger used boat for the same price as the 150SS. It was very fun to drive and quite fast w the 60Hp Bigfoot. On mine I definitely wished I had gotten the cushion package. I traded it in a year later for a bigger boat. This was my plan when I purchased it and it worked out pretty well. I took a small hit on the trade. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Todd
