2009 etec 90 seems fuel starved

90 etec starts up fine and idles for a few minutes then stalls and is hard to restart. Could it be the VPS getting hot?

What is this VPS ?----How did it run last week ?----Checked fuel filters ?-----Checked / load tested your battery ?------Is this a new installation ?

Typo. Meant VST.

I doubt that the ---VAPOUR SEPERATING TANK ----gets hot.------Provide more history here or simply run to a qualified shop to get this computer controlled machine fixed.

there are two pumps on this... a lift pump and the high pressure pump. Does it do better if you continually squeeze the bulb? Are you getting any flashing lights on the system check guage?

VST may not get hot but the VST filter can plug up carefull removing the clip the VST barbs are very fragile


filter is a fine mesh at the bottom of the VST degraded hoses particles can plug it up fast restricting fuel flow

see part #7 in diagram AGAIN... don't crack the barb on the vst if you decide to inspect it
