Hi, I have twin DF200 motors on my boat. The port side motor is now hard to shift. I removed the shift cable and the cable operates smooth. Trying to shift manually by hand is very difficult on the this motor and much easier on the other. It almost feels like it is gummed up. I was hoping to be able to address it without having to drop the lower end.

Any tips or tricks to try other than lubing the linkage above the bottom end?

Thanks

Did you ever figure it out? How hard was it to fix? I have the same problem on the same engine. My shift lever is really hard to move. Like the bushing is seized. The bottom of the shaft is corroded and I am not sure how I'll be able to take this thing apart.... I've tried soaking it in CorrosionX and Liquid Wrench to no avail. HELP
