Read "My review on Turning Point propellers", not steering you to purchase one of those but there is a lot of good info on motor height, load etc in those posts that I am sure you will find interesting/helpful?
Usually dropping 1" of pitch will increase your RPM's by 150-200 RPM's but that can vary depending on the prop(s) you choose. That being said it looks like you could go to about a 20, 21 pitch and still be save as far rpm goes?
You will most likely loose top speed but gain on your holeshot but I don't think that is what your after? If you choose a taller pitch in your quest for more speed you probably won't gain any due to the fact your motor won't be running in the optimum rpm band and lugging a motor is hard on it too.......Irv964

Re: 2008 suzuki df 115 what prop

We need to consider the mounting holes in-which the engine is now mounted in...
If it's in the first set of holes, we need to move it up.....this lowers drag and can increase RPM by about 75-100 per hole up.
3rd hole up is about all most aluminum props will run without venting...at this point you need to decide if you'd be willing to go with an SS.
Something like a Stiletto would give better lift decreasing wetted area with a resultant increase in both speed and RPM.
Knowing which set of holes the top bolts are in now will be the key.

thanks for ur replies guys. Its now on the second hole if u are refering from the top, not too much room to play with. So its seems to be sitting okay right now. If i were to go stainless what are the advantages of stainless and what pitch would i need to go up or down like i said its turning bout 5500 right now thanks again guys.

Yes, Stiletto is a "Brand" and a design of it's own. Stiletto has several different models available but I think you'd be looking at the "advantage" series for 3-bld.

Re: 2008 suzuki df 115 what prop

I believe a 21P Stiletto would be a good starting point, and I think we need to be ok with the idea of lifting the engine if needed....it's quite simple and a very effective method of gaining performance.
I would say a 19P because it performs as a 21P (alum) if nothing else is changed...BUT, the lifting ability of the stiletto should lessen the wetted surface and "let go" of some of the drag.
If we go from the 23 alum to a 21 Stiletto, we could say that going from alum to SS would, by rule of thumb, we would lose about 100RPM if we stayed in the same pitch (23). "I" think with the added lift of the Stiletto, we'll gain that 100 back, maybe 150...SO, if we drop to a 21P SS, we "should be close" to a 300RPM gain which should put us at 5800-5850, maybe even 5900 with the lift added.
An engine adjustment of 1, maybe 2 holes up would finish it to 6000.
Your speed will be higher, your hole-shot will be better with the vented prop and your fuel economy will be increased as well.
That DF-115 is a TORQUE MONSTER....I 'm sure it should handle a 21P Stiletto and get you where you want as long as you are willing to raise the engine a tad if needed.

I'll cover wally's rear here.....call iboats and ask if they can get you a 51320 Stiletto. The Suzuki props are in even numbers in 3-bld. They should be able to set you up, if not, PM me.....
