i have owned my 08 merc for about 9 months now. has never gave me trouble until last night. went fishing ran it for about 40 min. stopped and fished about 1 1/2 hours. cranked up and when i tried to throttle up it wouldn't let me go above 2500rpm. if i put it in reverse i can rev up to 6000rpm. not low on oil, and not running hot. it gives me the 6 sec warning beep when i try to keep it above 2500rpm. love merc. but this is really dissapointing. anyone have any ideas?
