2008 25hp 4stroke efi jet

Just bought this motor has only maybe 15hrs on it. It was just for show on inflatables. Took it out on Fraser R. Which is running very cold right now. I only have a few drips coming out of tell tale. Even after running a extended period of time. Is it possible the thermos stat is not opening or should water all ways becoming out. Looked at impeller and looks brand new. Can blow thru the tell tale but not the block.just wondering as this my first pump.Please help

Sounds like a piece of something got lodged in your block if you can't blow through it. Do you have a compressor? Might be worth it to blow air through it before pulling the plate off the block and having to re-do the gasket.
