2008 150 Optimax Starts and Shuts Off

I have a 2008 150 Optimax that was on another boat and had it placed on our newer boat. The motor ran great on the old boat and did not have any issues. Prior to putting in the water, ran it on the wash racks several times for about 20 minutes each time with no problems. Put it in the water today and it fired up with no problem at the dock and let it run for about 10 minutes before we took off. Got about 200 yards at idle speed and the engine cut off. The only way I could get it to fire back up was to almost go full throttle in idle. It would fire up and run for several seconds before dying. It almost acted like it was losing fuel flow. Got towed back to the marina, pull it out of the water and placed on a wash rack. Experiencing the same issue where I could get it to fire up but would cut off. When it would fire up, I did notice some black smoke being emitted from the engine each time. Any suggestion?

What is the motors serial number?
When key is turned to ON do you hear a Beep?
Have you checked fuel pressure?

check for fuel pressure when it stalls. Also use the clear hose test, my guess is that when the motor was re-rigged that an air leak somewhere in the fuel line was created.
