Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... That depends entirely on just how much space the boat manufacturer allowed for servicin' the motor, how big of a guy is tryin' to do the job, 'n whether the guy is double jointed, with a reasonable supply of the proper tools for the job,.....
On some boats, pullin' the motor out 1st is the easy part,....
Other times, big pieces of the boat can be removed for access,....

with free access .about an hour
With restricted access, remove exaust manifold, then remove starter 2-3 hours
With no access. pull motor, R/R starter, 4-6 hours

how long are your arms?

If you have orangutan arms, lay a pillow over the engine, lay on top the engine and reach down under the motor to remove it, about 30 minutes

with human arms
aft seating has to come out. this is a 2 person job and takes about 30 minutes
then 1 person can work and R&R the starter in about an hour
then the two people to put the seat back in is about 30 minutes

then 1 person to clean the boat - about an hour

so assume 4-5 hours worth of labor

what makes you think the starter is bad? how did you diagnose

The bolts are going to be really tight. Be sure to use a 6 point wrench or socket to break them loose.
The starter is about 1/2 the weight of the earlier Delco Remy type so it will not be a problem to re install the new one.

not really, you have to remove the seats to get access to the engine mounts and the fuel system anyway to pull the motor. I was there when they swapped the motor on my bud's 240 sundeck when his 6.2 needed replacing because his dry-joint manifold failed on the starboard side

while they have the seats out. have them pull the block drain lines that go to the spider manifold (drain manifold) and clean out the debris.
