I purchased a used boat with the engine and fuel system clog with a jelly like substance. Cleaned and replaced from tank to intake. Engine starts and idles fine, full throttle it runs ok as well. Mid throttle it pops through carb like a backfire every few seconds. I've had folks look at and the $ spent hasn't fixed the problem. I just wish I could diagnose properly and either find a quality shop to repair or just do it myself but I'm stumped. Either its stuck valve, lean carb, maybe a larger jet would help. Just not sure. Hoping to find quality mechanic on here.
