Hi all,
My new to me '07 mercury, when opened up to full throttle seems to rattle the choke lever into the "starting position" (meaning the choke is pulled out).
I noticed that pulling the choke all the way out drops the cam enough that it doesn't want to go back in with some rattling and excessive force.
I'm curious what part needs to be replaced? Should the choke be moving this easily? Phrased differently, should the be a little more friction on the arm which holds the choke plate?
