2007 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke

I am having trouble finding a prop to fit my new outboard. The 9.9 Merc props aren't fitting, I tried a Tohatsu (I was told that some of the 9.9 drives were actually Tohatsus). The shaft is too small for these props. Are there two different 4 stroke models? Any help would be appreciated.

If it is an 07 and the Tohatsu 9.8 prop does not fit then you have a big foot lower unit. The Tohatsu 9.9 prop will not fit the 07 standard Mercury. Only the 9.8 Tohatsu prop will fit it. Your Mercury is a Tohatsu with a Mercury decal and that fruity twist grip shift.
