I have a 50tldi that awhile back I got water in the fuel..I did all the stuff the mechanic said and had the motor running but it was running rough like he said it would for the first 15 minutes or so...since then it has maybe been 2 months and I tried to start it the other day it wouldn't roll over, out of maybe 10 times it rolled over twice but died right after...any ideas or help would be appreciated

I drained all the fuel that was in the filter, and disconnected all the hoses on the port side, pushed on the needle on the back of the motor til no more fuel was coming out, I made sure I was getting good fuel then I connected everything back and it fired up (on the motor stand) and it started fine sounded a little sick but still started every time.....then I didn't run it until 2 months later and it doesn't want to start now...I don't know if I need to re drain everything again and go from there or just bring it to the mechanic shop. I'm sure it is nothing too major.

You did not fully drain the fuel system. You must also drain the vapor separator (looks kind of like a carb), and bleed any fuel from the fuel rail. If there was significant water remaining in the fuel system, you may now have corrosion issues in there. TLDI motors are complex, and are not easily serviced by shade-tree techniques -- you need the proper tools and documentation.

I would start with the very basics... check the plug conditions first. If you have a Factory service manual, you can also use the manual as a guide, put the motor in diagnostic mode, and review any errors that have been logged.

If any of this seems difficult or confusing, you should see your dealer.
