Hey there. I have a 2006 Yamaha f90 that I am having issues with the tilt/trim. Pressing the switch on both the motor and the throttle results in just clicking. For the most part, I have been able to mess with it (10-15 mintues of yanking up on the motor etc) to finally get it to lower or raise until last week. Now it just clicks. So, I pulled the battery and cleaned all the terminals. I also checked fuses and replaced the main relay. Still just clicking. When I put the green/blue on positive to bypass the relay it also still won't work. Am I looking at the tilt/trim motor now? Thanks for any insight.

I have ran into this before> the best was to find your problem is go to the back of the boat and use the trim on the motor and when you push the switch tap the trim motor with a smal hammer and push the button repeatedly. If it starts to work then the tilt motor is junk may have water in it or may have a bad spot in the motor. If it sill dose not work the only thing now is the relays for the tilt.

Thank you for the advice! I just went and tried that and it is definitely the motor. Now this might be a really dumb question but I am not a mechanic at all and am just winging this stuff along as I go, but would I be able to install this by myself? And I imagine I need to pull the boat and do it land?
