Hey all well here is another newb with a question. I recently went out to start up the boat down here in Florida cause the warmer weather has come. It has been probably a month and a half since last start. Before winter (janurary, I know we suck down here) I put marine stable for ethanol in it and ran it for about 15 minutes. Recently when I started it the engine would turn over but no fuel was going to the carb. I decided to change out the fuel filter and checked the fuel lines. The engine started up and ran but only when there was a steady throttle on it. Put the throttle back down to idle and it would cut out. At this time I noticed that the yellow tygon line that goes from the fuel pump to the carb had varnish in it on the fuel pump end. I stopped the engine pulled the line and noticed that varnish had clogged the fitting that led into the fuel pump. Can anyone recommend suggestions for me? Is this the vaccum line and is it gummed up? If so can it be cleaned or flushed out or am I looking at a new fuel pump or rebuild? Thanks in advance and Cheers!
