Last fall just before winterizing I noticed a small amount of oil in the bilge under the engine. The first time out this year I noticed oil accumulating in the bilge again. It is a small amount so far and I am able to run ok so far. I can feel oil on the front bottom of engine but can't find where it is coming from. Could this be a leaking gasket already ? If so what gasket should I look at being the cause ? If not a gasket, then what? A hose ? Couldn't see any hose leaks.
How long can I dare run like this ?
An update: I have my boat in the shop right now. It has turned out to be the drive chain gasket. So that has to be replaced along with the oil pan gasket. They have to pull the engine to do so. Not very happy. Luckily this is covered by warranty. Not done yet and has been in shop for nearly 2 weeks.
