Just purchased from private seller on Saturday. Took out first time today. Ran at full speed great. Started walleye trolling cranks and after 1 hour of slow trolling the oil indicator light came on. Checked oil and exactly where it should be. Started back up and light was off. Trolled for another 30 minutes in low rpm and oil light came on again. Tried to accelerate the engine to see if RPMs would help, clear out the cobwebs. Engine bogged down and seemed hot when throttling. Turned motor off for 2 minutes. Restarted and it ran fine, no light, throttled up to max rpms and no problems. Got off lake immediately and plan to take to be serviced. Any thoughts on what might be causing the engine to appear to overheat?
