Has anyone tried a different prop on a 1900 with a 4.3l? I am currently running a 3 blade aluminum 14.3 x 21. I would like to get on plane a little faster when pulling a skier. Currently, RPM's @ WOT are 4600.

It'll really wake up with a typical 18" 4 blade aluminum or SS prop and you won't lose much top end either. I went from a factory supplied 23" aluminum 3 blade to a 20" aluminum 4 blade and then later a 20" SS 4 blade and was thrilled with the all around performance on my old boat, a 5.0 powered LSR 2100.

I should have done a search before placing my post this morning. LOL! Anyway, I have the same boat, and have tried a Mercury Enertia 19, and yesterday I tried a Stiletto Bay Pro II.

From my research, the Enertia gave me 2 mph more than Stiletto Bay Pro II. I really liked the pull on the Stiletto, and it is about $200 dollars less than the Enertia.

What kind of speed and rpm's are you getting from the 21? I am thinking of going to a SS 21.

As an FYI, the 19 aluminum pulls me out of the water on a wake board, with 3 adults in the boat, and I'm 220 lbs.

I am running around 4600rpm @ 52-54 mph.
