Hello i purchased a 2005 optimax 115 in november (from a reputable marina) i put it on the muffs in the driveway to hear it run for the first time and hit it with my temp gun etc. motor started right up no choke high idle etc idle very smooth,strong telltale stream waited till it hit 140f pushed the button and gave her some throttle gradually and then i cracked it to WOT and i heard the panel beep i backed off and it went away, tried again same thing so i put it in gear cracked her open no beep... the whole time my temp never really went over 145F so not a cooling system beep...I read that these have a beep warning if you go over max rpm for this motor is if i remember correctly is 4500 to 5500 i wasnt looking at the tach when the beep happened so im not sure if i was over rpm...any other things i might wanna look into? or just put her in the water and test it?
