2005 Merc 150 Temp gauge/sending unit problems

I have searched the interwebs looking for resistance values for the p/n 13536A13 temp sensor (resistance vs. temp), but haven't been able to turn up anything. The paper tag on the sending unit has the min/max values but one set of numbers was rubbed off, the only value I could make out clearly was 850 ohm.

Does anyone have the specs for this sensor? I have the ability to source various resistance values to the gauge using an ohm-ranger http://www.ohmite.com/cat/controls_ranger_ohm.pdf, but without the sender values it doesn't help much.

Any information will be appreciated.

Here is the service manual for your engine:

http://1manual.com/Mercury manuals/Service Manual PDFs/TwoStroke/878079/cover.pdf

You must have Adobe Acrobat reader installed to use this manual. If you scroll down to the lower part of the opening page, you will see the various engine components in red. Click on the one you want and when the first page opens, click on the "Save As" icon at the top LH corner of the page and you can save it to your computer.

See resistance to temp chart under Section 4 Cooling, page 4B-3.

Re: 2005 Merc 150 Temp gauge/sending unit problems

Thanks alot Gerry, that was exactly what I needed, my Seloc manual didn't have that information. I was able to isolate my issue to the gauge, it doesn't match the curve of the sending unit.

Thanks again,
Brent
