2005 Honda 150Hp 4 stroke Opinions

My uncle is looking at a deck boat and it has a 150Hp Honda motor on it. Are these as reliable as their cars? I know this is basically a Honda Civic engine. What should we look at on this besides compression and a test drive. The boat is 8 hours away, so this will be a one trip go-no go deal.
Are there any known issues to be aware of?

The best models of honda, Trouble free engines.
Ask for a Dr.H report from the dealer, check the service history and get the compression check done for the engine and post it. shall reply.

tell you what. we always bought mercury or rudes. but we have an 05 lund pro-v 18 foot with the bf150 honda and i'm really impressed at the performance, reliability, gas consumption, and it is very quiet. we are sold on the honda 4's now and i cant imagine having to pay for all that gas like we used to ever again. good luck
