2005 Glastron SX195 5.0GL oil question

Just bought a 2005 Glastron SX 195 with a 5.0 GL Volva-Penta. I want to change the oil, as previous owner did not change it at end of last season. My question is what type of oil to use, synthetic or regular, what weight?. The engine has a 30wt synthetic label from factory. However, I don't know if previous owner used synthetic or regular. What type of pump do I need to get the old oil out? Thanks for any help.

If you go to the link above, you can download t he owners manual for your engine. It gives oil recommendations and how to change the oil.
Since you are changing the oil and filter, use which ever type oil (synthetic or mineral) you wish.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any sugestions for an oil pump to remove old oil? Also, I don't think previous owner used synthetic, will it be an issue if I use synthetic but can't all the old out? Thanks

A Multi-Use Transfer Pump from harbor freight tools would work + i believe it's on sale right now around 3.99.
