Hello everyone
I have a question about changing spark plugs on my Evinrude outboard engine. I bought it new and so far, it performs very well. No complaints.
Recently, I talked with the dealership, where I purchased the engine and boat. I mentioned that I wanted to change the spark plugs in the future, rather than haul the boat a hundred miles just to have the lower gear oil and plugs changed.
The mechanic said, " the spark plugs have to be INDEXed, when changed. Anyone know if that is true? Is he being honest, or trying to insure more business?
One other outboard engine mechanic said he's lying, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks in advance for your help. Sky Soldier
