2005 DF115 low voltage CKP

just finished a rebuild on this. No Injectors are firing. CKP reads at 201 ohms but is putting out .6 vac. Spacing is .3 inch from flywheel. Don't have SDS diagnostic software.

Motor is a bit tight after rebuild and is not cranking real fast. would this cause the low voltage?

Voltage is a function of the speed of a magnet passing by a coil. Amongst other variables. Distance between a magnet and the coil being another.

.3 inch gap for the sensor seems to be abnormal. What does your SM specify?

0.6 volts seems low. Is that peak voltage or RMS voltage? What does your SM specify?

pushed the ckp up as far as possible and got a 1000 cranking amp battery. CKP voltage at 2 volts and injectors firing. thanks
