Hi there everyone.

I've searched alllllllllll over the internet for this one, hope someone can give me some correct info.

The idle port exhaust on the back of my new honda sits pretty low in the water, not below the waterline but close if the motor is tilted all the way down at rest.

Is it possible for water to be sucked up those two holes and into the engine causing a hydolock of sorts.

Is there anything I should be concerned with or is there anything I can do ? Some type of snorkle perhaps ?

Any info would help, thanks in advance.

Re: 2005 BF90

I have a 1999 BF 90 Honda and the port is below the water line be about 6 inches sitting still. However, when out of the hole it is above water. I would not worry about it. Moreover, I would check that you have the motor positioned correctly on the transom. If you have a pontoon I would say it should be out of the water.
