My motor will run good wide open but misses at idle and sometimes it's number 2 and sometimes it's number 3 that misses. The carbs and jets are clean. What can cause different cylinders to miss only at idle....oh and sometimes it will idle perfectly for a minute or two. My guess is leaning toward whatever it is that signals the coils to fire and if so what and where would that be?

Ok since it appears that I'm talking to myself here I'll tell me what I did. I removed the camshaft pulley and found some corrosion on the three contacts on the rotor looking thing . I sanded the three points clean and ran it, so far so good. I'm going to let it cool down and then run it again from a cold start and if it acts right I will pull it to the lake and do a full water test.
