have a 2005 mercury 8hp 4 stroke and it wont idle down to shift into gear ? have no owners manual and taking it out like this i am affraid i am going to break it . when cold doesnt seem to be a problem . but after running it around a bit it always starts at a very high idle . i have to two hand it into gear and find a very small sweet spot thats hit or miss ! any suggestions ?
