I know I have carburetor problems since my motor only runs when the fuel enrichment switch is on open. I have clean the carburetors once and about to soak them in carburetor clean for about a hour a piece. Then proceed to clean them again. My question is do I seat the jets fully or back them out some, if I need to back them out how much for the main jet and how much for the pilot jet? At this point in time I will be changing spark plugs and the fuel filter. I have also change the fuel line from tank to engine. If this doesn't work are there any other options I may try.

are the jets you are talking about the ones inside the carbs? They are snugged up tight, and the pilot jet has a rubber plug in the hole covering it. The top and bottom carb may have a different size main jets than the middle one so do not mix them up. Pull all parts out before cleaning them to make sure you get to all passages. soak, wash, and blow out with compressed air
Make sure you do the link and sync like your manual says after reinstalling the carbs.

Sounds very similar to my '04 TLR 90, only could idle roughly on the emergency setting.

We bought it used from a guy who had receipts from a "reputable" marina to resolve an ethanol issue.

In my quest to resolve the issue, I went through the carbs a couple times clearing loads of crap. On my last attempt, I pulled apart the fuel enrichment pump on the middle carb. The marina's orangutan assembled it wrong and left out an O ring. I also ran a wire through both ends of the pilot jet path. That did the trick and now it runs fine. Luckily, the only part I had to buy was the missing O ring.

BTW, the orangutan also left a hose disconnected behind the oil tank, left a clip off the oil injector and messed with every linkage. Luckily, the service manual details how to adjust linkages and sync carbs from markings on the block.

Good luck and hope this helps.
