2004 Z250 NMEA 2000 ready?

I have been reading up and trying to see if my 2004 Yamaha Z250 HPDI can be hooked up to my Lowrance HDS 7 gps/graph and Lowrance network? The graph appears to have all the functions on it to monitor. One minute I think my motor is too old, the other I think I could do it. Can anyone help me with that?

If possible, what parts would I need to order to get it to function and then what functions will I be able to monitor? Since my gps/graph are already hooked up to the network, I would think I would only need the motor adapter, T connector and termination.

Any thoughts please!

The 2004 motor is not NMEA2000 compatible

I thought so...thanks for the reply. Still waiting to hear from Lowrance. They say all Z series work on their web but thought I read somewhere that they introduced NMEA in 2005.

Thank you!
