Couple simple questions for someone familiar with these. I need to winterize one with a fuel injected 5.7L (I believe 280hp). Do the U joints need lubed or they sealed? Can you lube the driveshaft splines from inside the boat (like Mercruiser)? Where can I obtain instructions to R and R the drive? Is it simple? I never touched a Volvo before and don't want to start ripping and tearing blind!

You do have to remove the drive to grease the splines on the shaft. NO zirks on the coupler.
You also need to check the alignment with an alignment bar. The bars found on ebay and aftermarket ones for Merc and OMC will also work on the Volvo drives.
To remove the drive, pull the back cover and remove the cotterpin, lock nut and brass connector from the shift cable (items 1,2,and 3 in picture).
Disconnect the trim cylinders by removing the aft pin.
Remove 6 nuts holding the drive to the pivot housing and pull the drive off.

The best thing you could buy for your boat is the OEM service manuals for your engine and one for your drive.
Your local Volvo dealer has them, here is another possibility.

There isn't a Kit, but the seals you need to install the drive and change the gear lube are:
3852565 Oring (2 ea)
One each of the following
3855081 oring
3852045 Oring
955981 Oring
3852560 Seal ring

What do I torque the 6 nuts to, 50 foot lbs like Mercruiser?
Thanks a lot for the help.
