Hello everyone. I have been reading this forum for a while, but just now decided to join to ask a question, perhaps someone can help me figure this out.
We have a 2004, 19ft Sea Boss bay boat, with a 2004 Johnson 150 outboard. We purchased this boat new in early 2005, paid exactly $16,000 for the package, boat/motor/trailer. The boat operated perfectly on the sea trial with no faults that I could find.
A few days later, as my wife and I boated in the bay, we noticed that the boat at random moments, while on plane or not, will be listing to port. This has occured while sometimes running at 35mph and has been unnerving to my wife and sometimes to me.
While the boat is sitting still in the water, it is perfectly level with no listing at all. This listing has not been caused by any shifting cargo onboard, and has occured while the boat has been loaded with gear as well as completely empty with only me onboard at the center console.
While underway, even on a plane the boat will track just fine, nice and straight.
Any suggestions as to what to look for, or has anyone ever experienced anything similar? Any help would be ultra appreciated.
