2004 Nissan 9.9, 4 stroke, stopped running

The motor had been running at speed for about 10 minutes and then just stopped running, would not re-start. After about 10 minutes it would start and run for about 30 sec. then stop again. I did thid for a few more time and the same results happened. Is there a thermostat? what else should I check? thanks for helping...

The engine does have a thermostat...And they never go bad. Take it into a dealer and have them determine what the problem is.

Sounds like your losing fuel pressure check all your fuel lines from the tank to the carbs and any fuel pumps or switches or relays that control fuel pressure even the gasket on the gas cap make sure it has a tight seal.

ok thank you.. do you think i should clean the card too because the motor is starting fine just stopping once put in gear for a few seconds

Its possible you have some build up in your carb or possibly a sticky float but not as likely a cause of this type of problem.

Have you got ur motor fixed?i have another post on iBoats about mine which has similar symptoms but haven’t got it fixed yet
