2004 Honda Model BF8SHSA 8HP outboard runs fine,then stalls and quits

This motor has very few hours on it. New plugs over winter, cleared carb and gas tank over winter. Started up this weekend with one pull ( even though has electric start ). Runs fine for 2 minutes at all speeds, then seems to go in to a shutdown mode....sputters, then shuts down. Starts right back up immediately, runs fine for 2 minutes, then does same thing.

Gas is new in tank,with gas conditioner, external tank bulb stays firm. Tried disconnecting external tank to run fuel in carb only....does same thing.
Removed thermostat lead on carb side of motor - no difference

Any suggestions ??

I have this same problem on a similar 2003 BF8 and would appreciate any other ideas, beacause I think I have tried everything I can think of. Motor ran good last season, but a little sluggish at times. Now it starts easily, but runs no more than 30 seconds and then sputters. Always idles slow. Increasing the throddle cause it to immediately stall. Sometimes restarts right away other times it needs to rest. I have bought new parts and changed:

Fuel line
Fuel tank cap (vent was broken)
spark plugs
fuel filter
solenoid on carburator (apparently maintains pressure)
dissembled/clean carb
fuel pump

always the same result when i replaced each part. The motor has few hours on it, since it is on my sailboat. Any ideas would help me try to figure this out!
