I have a 2004 tahoe q4 with a 4.3 merc 4 bbl. I am getting what seem like random beeps while the boat is running. I do get the initial beeeeeeep when starting but it quits when the oil pressure is up, but at random times during a trip I will get a random beep, or maybe two quick beeps or one long beep. All the gauges read fine. temp is a hair above 160, oil pressure is about 60 when running and about 35 or 40 idling, drive fluid is at the full line. I have checked the connections one the backs of the all the gauges and at the little speaker thing that actually makes the sound and they all seem good. I am stumped, and it is driving my wife nuts. any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

There are 3 items that can turn on the alarm, oil pressure switch, coolant temp switch, and gearlube reservoir switch.
Best thing you can do is disconnect them one at a time and run the boat and see which one is causing the problem.
They all have a tan/blue wire going to it. Disconnect that wire.

Thank you for the information. If I am understanding correctly disconnecting these wires will not render the gauges inoperable just the warning beeper?

The alarm switchs are not connected to the gauges.

Just wanted to update this, and say thanks for the help. I found all the wire connection for those switches. I made sure they were all connected good and tight. I guess that was all it needed Thanks again.
