When switching from N to F, sometimes the RPMs go up and nothing happens (doesn't shift into F) Othertimes its shifts at a higher RPM and "clunks" into gear. Other days all is well. There has never been a problem going into R. I have adjusted the cable settings at various points on the shifter lever and loosened-tighten the adjusting nut on the drop leg. The oil has been changed (synthetic Volvo) in the drop leg (no shavings; and this seamed to help?). Any ideas on what to do next? Start investigating drop leg?
