I have a 90HP 2004 2 stroke Outboard. Oil is leaking from 2 stroke oil tank under the cowling near the starter from under the oil sensor cap. I found some posts on the web that talked about sealing the sensor cap with permatex and cinching the sensor on with a zip-tie. I am not sure how to remove the oil sensor to fix the leak. Should I just pull up the sensor? I don't want to mistakenly disconnect the oil line underneath the tank which goes to the oil pump since I've heard it can be difficult to bleed the line of air. I also tried to just put on a zip-tie, but even with pliers I couldn't get it tight enough.
