I am getting my boat ready for the season and the motor won't tilt.

  • I restored the boat in feburary and it worked then,
You press either switch on the motor cowl or the tiller handle and the silenoid clicks but the pump does not run.
The connections look clean and tight, I never actally removed them and cleaned them they are all shiny with no corrosion visible.
The electric start works fine and the motor runs fine.
    Where do I start.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Need to test with a DC voltmeter to see if motor is getting voltage and a ground path.
and use an amp meter to see if it is locked up and pulling too many amps

Is there a way to test it without pulling the pump motor off, as the wiring runs directly inside of the motor from the wiring harness>?

Thanks

Test where it is attached to the relay
