2003 Yamaha 75hp 4 stroke

I'm a new owner of this engine on a 2004 Crestliner 1600 super hawk...

When storing my boat at my house should I have the engine trimmed up or down? I thought maybe down the the oil in the motor would be leveled back out instead of all to one side?

Also were should the oil be on the dipstick. .. anywhere between the pattern? Or at the very top?

Think is no matter where is your motor trimed.i have my down.but i have a two stroke.the oil on the dipstick must be on the top when your motor is leveled.between is ok but on top is the best

Ok.. it was on top originally... but being a new 4 stroke owner I learned not to check the oil when motor is trimmed up... had a panic attack when oil shot out the dipstick
