2003 yamaha 70 alarm buzzing at idle?

I bought my boat with the motor brand new in 2003 and I've never had a problem. It ran fine last summer. It sat unused close to a whole year. I took it out this passed weekend and it ran fine then all of a sudden the alarm started buzzing. I checked the oil level and it was full. The gas was full and new. So now the motor will run for a certain amount of time and the buzzer will sound and it will just run at idle, and the alarm continues to buzz.

Any idea on what the problem could be?

Well here inlays the problem. It pisses fine, and ive been reading up on the subject and its not only my motor that has this problem. And Also that replacing the water-pump usually doesn't fix this.. Is there any way to tell if your water-pump is malfunctioning?

when was the last time the water pump and thermostat was replaced?
what do the icons on the tach indicate when the buzzer is on?
that engine uses a low pressure high volume system that doesnt tolerate weak pumps.
it also wont support a water pressure guage and they are not reccomended by yamaha.

The water pump and thermostat have never been replaced. And another problem that just started happening is that none of the guages on the dash work.

go ask any Nascar driver how long they run on last years tires gas and batteries.
dude.
maintain your rig and go boating.
without knowing who made the gauges,what gauges you have or who rigged this poorly
maintained beast, I cant say much there other than start checking connections.
kinda like watching swamp people the other day, the idiot had MUD flowing out the idle relief and saying muh mota is a gettin hot, jus had a water pump.

Rodbolt, I saw that episode too and couldn't believe it.

If this is a 2003 motor and never had a water pump kit, it probably needs one. How many hours are on the engine?
