Need some prop help. I bought a 23 foot 2003 Odyssey Tritoon w/4.3 190 H.P. Vortec v-6 I/O last fall. Its had at least (2) owners so some history is lost. It has a 15 x 19 Solas S.S. prop and I?m only showing 4000 rpm WOT. While it seems to run very well for a Pontoon @ this RPM (30 mph), I?m reading on this forum and others that the WOT is way too low for any Sterndrive, even a toon. WOT should be in the 4400-4800 range for this engine. I also have to verify that the Tach is right. Hopefully its not set on 8cyl. I did check it with a digital tach last night, but it was jumping all over the place and not reading consistently. Might need to source a tach that runs off the coil and see how it compares.
I would appreciate it if anybody out there has a similar setup that can let me know what Prop your using? BTW, I have an Alpha 1 drive w/1.81 final drive ratio. Thanks....
