2003 tohatsu 9.9 oil filter

Hello, I have a 2003 tohatsu 9.9hp 4 cycle "B" model outboard,,does anyone know of the auto oil filter that will fir on my engine? I've used auto filters on inboards, and since the one on this outboard is a spin on oil filter there should be a auto equivalent at half the cost and many come in different grades of filtration. Thanks.

That's a special filter. I used oem replacement, and wouldn't risk a substitute.

There is a crose reference chart on Tohatsu's webpage, attached is the info.

I needed an alternative as well as there are no dealers nearby.
