either the sending unit is not plugged in or it is bad look for the wire conection by the tank and see if it is unplugged

More than likely it is...for now. But if the unit does fail, then youre talking some big cash for an engine. What you may want to look into is converting to premix, then youre always sure that your engine has the proper oil.

I noticed the newer skies from sea doo the oil light comes on with half a tank of oil still in it and the seams always seem to leak oil all over the hull. but the oil sending unit has nothing to do with the oil pump function and I don't know if you have fuel injection on that model but don't do a pre mix if you do have di injection, you will destroy the crank bearings, that ski is not that old to even be concerned about oil pump failure. also with pre mix if you run a carb lean you can still destroy a cylinder from lack of oil so there is no real guarantee either way
