I have a 2003 Sea Pro 180cc with NO T Top. The boat has rod holders in the center console that I use for transportion. I'm thinking about putting a T Top on the boat. My question is to anyone that has a t top on their boat with these rod holder will I loose the ability to use them because of the rods not fitting under the top. any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: 2003 Sea Pro 180cc T top

Nice to here from another Sea-Pro owner. Not sure about the t-top covering the rod holders, but I explored doing this when I first purchased my 2005 18' Seapro. A buddy of mine who works on boats in Annapolis said not to install t-tops on this boat as it is just too small and would make things cramped walking along the gunnel. If you decide to go this route, post a pic. So far after 4 years of heavy use, the boat has been perfect with the only problem a $5 anchor compartment latch that broke.

Re: 2003 Sea Pro 180cc T top

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about buying one and getting it professionally installed but I may wait a year. I am now thinking about buying an leaning post. I now have captain chairs and I'm thinking about buying the Todd adjustable leaning post so I keep the post and not have to drill any holes. Does anyone have one I would like to know how you like it. Thanks

Re: 2003 Sea Pro 180cc T top

I have a 190 cc with a bimini top. It's tall enough to walk under, but the fishing rods in the center console holders do bend down to fit under it. It's not that big of a deal. The bimini is great for keeping out the sun, but it is very restrictive on the fishing access from the sides. A T-top would be better for fishing. I wouldn't worry about the rods bending a litttle. You could even get a bunch of rocket launcher type holders for the front and back of the T-top.

I agree with you on the captains chairs. Those are a pain in the azz and they have to go. Mine has the cooler with the adj. back rest.
