If I run under 3500rpm no squeel but if I run over 4000rpm for 10+minutes the engine has a squeel. This squeel sounds like an alternator belt on a car going bad but will go away if I run under 3500rpm. It seems like it is not coming from the power head but lower. I'm very familiar with 2 stroke marine engines and can't seem to fiqure this out. Motor was put on the boat new in 2006 I changed the water impeller last year thinking that could have been the problem but no luck. Motor pumps water great and is using oil never had any alarms or anything over heat since new.

Could be a swollen stator rubbing on the flywheel magnets. I've never heard of roller bearings squealing, they usually just destroy themselves and everthing around them.
